We stayed in an awesome hotel! The Fontainebleu, or “Fountain Blue” as the locals pronounce it, was once a favourite hang out of Frank Sinatra. We arrived in style, we drove the wrong was up the departures driveway!
Our apartment was on the 9th floor of the Tresor Tower facing the Atlantic. Evie and Chopper were soon banned from going on the balcony after they climbed up onto the arms of chairs and leaned over the balcony balustrade!!
The plan was to spend one day on the Florida Keys and the other doing our Everglades/Biscayne Bay tours, but the hotel was too good! Florida Keys was cancelled in favour of a day by the pools đŸ™‚
The Miami Beach trolley was a great find, we got from Middle Beach to South Beach for free. South Beach was definitely the place to go for food – Lincoln Mall and Ocean Drive
In hindsight, we should have done the Everglades safari on the way down from Orlando. It took us 3 hours to get from the hotel to the safari and then it had to be cut short because we ran out of time
